Furniture
Though it seems like lots of interesting
light fixtures, furniture and finishes are available on the
market. Often, it takes a custom design to get just what we're
after. This is when architecture is the most fun: working in
the woodshop, making it come to life.
One particularly enjoyable project was to
design and build a traveling exhibit of resource-efficient building
materials, in collaboration with Vital Systems and Sun Light and
Power.

seeds/soy-based glue, bamboo tambour, wheatstraw particleboard, hemp
fiberboard, recycled glass tiles, recycled yogurt containers
(including the aluminum foil), and a plastic laminate that uses
coffee sack fiber. |
